Aylin began learning cello at 17 years of age, although a late start she quickly excelled and achieved grade 7 within the first year of starting and grade 8 in the second year. Following this, she started her studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance as the only cellist chosen for the year 2019. Aylin was awarded the Len Smith and Felicity Young Scholarship and Trinity Laban Scholarship.
Aylin has previously learnt with Sasha Boyarsky, David Kenedy and Sally Pendlebury. She has played in a variety of masterclasses with renowned musicians such as Raphael Wallfisch, Tim Lowe, Mathew Lowe, Richard Crabtree and Michael Atkinson as well as chamber coaching with Michael Bochmann and The Carducci Quartet. She has performed in many renowned venues including Cadogan Hall, Blackheath Halls, Wigmore Hall, Chapel of St Peter and St Paul etc. Aylin currently performs classical, popular and International traditional music as part of ‘The Hirondelle Duo’ with Andrew Walters, both in the UK and Internationally. She also plays in the Kingston Philharmonia Orchestra and teaches privately in New Malden.
