Aylin Altay
Cello
Aylin is currently completing studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance whilst teaching privately in Kingston Upon Thames.
Aylin began learning cello at 17 years of age, although a late start she quickly excelled and achieved grade 7 within the first year of starting and grade 8 in the second year. Following this, she started her studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music & Dance and was awarded the Len Smith and Felicity Young Scholarship and Trinity Laban Scholarship.
Aylin is currently learning with Sally Pendlebury and has previously learnt with Sasha Boyarksy and David Kenedy. During her studies, Aylin had the opportunity to play in masterclasses with Raphael Wallfisch, Tim Lowe, Matt Lowe, Richard Crabtree, and Michael Atkinson as well as chamber coaching with Michael Bochmann. She has moreover, performed in many renowned venues including Cadogan Hall, Blackheath Halls, Wigmore Hall, Chapel of St Peter and St Paul etc.
